- Nothing's free in seven boxes. Best you offer something to exchange or money (hard to organize) or a nice smartphone. We are on the market in Paraguay. Time frame 48 hours. Everybody knows everybody. Ah and we write the year 2005 when smartphones were something new. In this world you get nothing. No medicine for your child. Nothing at all. No one has the time to be upset about this injustice as everyone struggles to survive. In this world Victor (Celso Franco) lives. He is just a boy and works in the market. Victor is cunning and fascinated by everything that has a screen. Especially smartphones. He wants to have that too, as much as we cannot imagine. Then the sleazy butcher offers Victor to deliver seven packages of unknown contents. The butcher's shop is surrounded by police. What Victor does not know; there is another man named Nelson (Víctor Sosa) who originally had this job. Nelson is a desperate guy with a sick child. Nelson believes that this delivery is rightfully his and therefore he steals from Victor. What's in the boxes? And the cops? They're as corrupt as anyone else. But there is a world outside the marketplace full of riches. That's the one that Victor sees on the monitors that he likes to stare at. In Victor's world, the market, it's these seven boxes that are trouble. Chases across the market, through the backyards and market halls. Everywhere it's crowded and always stressful. Victor has nowhere to go. He's on the run. But still, there are these moments in life When Victor presses himself against an iron door of the warehouse with a girl. He kisses her. A moment of romance amidst the chaos of a spreading underclass. A moment of hope and the summoning of life.
