In Katja von Garniers Abschlussfilm für die Film Uni (P.S. ihr Debüt Abgeschminkt war ein Übungsfilm) gehts um eine Gefängnis Band, die Bandits = Band + Tits, bestehend aus Luna, Emma, Angel und Marie (Katja Riemann, Nicolette Krebitz, Jasmin Tabatabai und Jutta Hoffmann). Sie alle sitzen im Gefängnis, wegen Heirats-Schwindel oder Mord und nutzen den Auftritt beim Polizei Ball zur Flucht. Sie werden zu Stars, müssen dummerweise ihre Plakate während der Flucht kleben. Bandits bietet jede Menge Tempo und gut choreographierte Auftritte der Band, sogar Tanz-Einlagen auf der Strasse. Den Showdown gibts dann auf der Hamburger Köhlbrandbrücke. Bandits funktioniert noch heute, vollkommen losgelöst vom Zeitgeist. Eine Millionen Zuschauerinnen wollten Bandits sehen und das trotz schlechter Kritiken. Katja von Garnier’s graduation film for the Film University (P.S. her debut, Abgeschminkt, was a student film) is about a prison band, the Bandits = Band + Tits, consisting of Luna, Emma, Angel and Marie (Katja Riemann, Nicolette Krebitz, Jasmin Tabatabai and Jutta Hoffmann). They are all in prison, convicted of marriage fraud or murder, and use their performance at the police ball as an opportunity to escape. They become stars, but foolishly have to stick up their posters during their escape. Bandits offers plenty of pace and well-choreographed performances by the band, even dance routines on the street. The showdown takes place on Hamburg’s Köhlbrand Bridge. *Bandits* still works today, completely detached from the spirit of the times. A million viewers wanted to watch *Bandits*, despite the poor reviews. A rock ’n’ roll fairy tale!
