So etwas geht? - When it comes to fighting vampires, contact the Roman Catholic Church. They have the greatest expertise. When it comes to the undead, you urgently need to contact a priest. Only he can harpoon these hideous creatures and drag them into the sunlight. James Woods is Jack Crow, a vampire hunter whose family was wiped out by vampires. He's a mercenary for the Catholic Church, a mercenary paid to kill vampires (wearing sunglasses and with a small cigar in the corner of his mouth). His partner is Montoya (Daniel Baldwin). He works with a steel cable at the back of the truck, dragging vampires out into the sun. The skulls of their victims are placed on the hood of their Jeep. But while they celebrate another victory over the vampires, Master Valek (Thomas Ian Griffith) kills everyone except Crow and a prostitute named Katrina (Sheryl Lee). Katrina was bitten by Valek, but Crow explains that the Master communicates telepathically with his victims, and therefore Katrina functions like a surveillance camera (before she transforms). In any case, there's a lot of Catholicism in Vampires, and it's inevitable that Katrina and Crow are attracted to each other. I was somewhat surprised by a scene in which a victim simply cauterizes the wound from a vampire bite. Is that even possible? Carpenter has a biting sense of humor and some great macho one-liners and seems to reject all traditional weapons against vampires. They all don't work. And what do you say when you kill a vampire? “Vaya con “Dios!” That’s not exactly respectful.
