FREE ON YOUTUBE (DU FINDEST DEN GANZEN FILM FREI AUF YOUTUBE) Unglaublich! - FREE ON YOUTUBE Unbelievable! You wouldn't believe your eyes. If you expect an absurd-surrealistic comedy at this point, you're still wrong. In Quentin Dupieux' Non-Cinema you are involved from the first moment on. This is no artistic escapade, but... It begins with a piercing bang. A tank with a colonel in it - who roughly has the hairdo of General Franco. Out of nowhere Ramzy appears on a skateboard. As if he had beamed straight from the 80s. Somewhere on a country road. Ramzy finds the colonel; his tank has tipped over. Underneath the colonel. Ramzy is on his way to the high school. If you like to watch 80s teenage comedies, you'll immediately find your way around this kind of high school. It comes from a time when people still had BMX bikes. Just like Eric (appearance Eric on a BMX). So you have to imagine the temporal accumulation of a movie that has gone off the rails. (By the way, Ramzy couldn't save the colonel, so he took his MP. It should still serve him well in high school, because teenage bullies rule there). If you look it up you'll notice that steak is classified as a science fiction product. Anyway, Ramzy wipes out the bullies, while Eric takes the blame for it and is put into a mental hospital. Then there are the Chivers - a gang with hoods who drink milk. There's an awful lot happening at the same time. So much that some of you might call Steak a plotless film. Or one of those parodies that go all the way back to the early '90s. in which film genres are sung. But that's not true. We are not in France, by the way, nor in the America of the 80s, but in Canada. In front of the clean rows of houses in the suburbs, this futuristic comedy speculates. Sometimes a robot stumbles through the picture. Ramzy has remodelled his face (this is what you do in the future). And this is how the humour of the future works: You have lots of aha-experiences (you know certain scenes from classic movies), you laugh and yet there is a feeling that I call permanent discomfort. Anyway, in Quentin Dupieux, the Du Eric & Ramzy has finally found a director worthy of them!
