Jurassic World: Die Wiedergeburt - Jurassic World: Rebirth (2024) (Rating 6,5) DVD-

Wenn Menschen von riesigen Echsen verspeist werden, macht das normalerweise viel Spass. Um aber dorthin zu gelangen, gibts ein paar Hindernisse zu überwinden... Denn: Der neue Jurassic World versucht nicht nur, an die Spannung der Vorgänger anzuknüpfen, sondern möchte auch gern ein Statement über die Welt heutzutage abliefern. Das wahre Monster; das ist der Kapitalismus (wir sollen natürlich trotzdem Popcorn für fünf Euro kaufen). Verpflichtet wurde Gareth Edwards, der sich auch mit anderen Blockbuster Franchises gut auskennt. Das Problem bleibt aber das überladende Drehbuch. Das führt zu viel zu langen Dialog Passagen bei den überqualifizierten Stars, die gezwungen werden, rum zu sitzen und sich gegenseitig die Welt zu erklären. Unnötig auch eine Nebenhandlung, in der eine Familie mit Dinos konfrontiert wird. Johansson spielt die Söldnerin Zora Bennett. Dummerweise sind Dinosaurier gar nicht mehr die Bedrohung, die sie im letzten Teil noch waren. Manchmal wird einer von ihnen am helllichten Tag aus dem East River in New York City gehoben. Doch ein Bösewicht heuert Zora an, um noch echte Biester mit profitabler DNA zu bergen. Auf gehts also zum Äquator - was einige atemberaubende Bilder bietet. Es gibt auch ein paar schöne Gags und eine Ahnung dessen, wie toll so ein sinnloser Sommer Blockbuster wie Jurassic World bzw. Park früher mal war. Früher als es noch keinen Bedarf eines kritischen Kommentars zum Welt-Geschehen bedurfte. - When people are eaten by giant lizards, it's usually a lot of fun. Because: The new Jurassic World not only tries to build on the excitement of its predecessors, but also wants to make a statement about the world today. The real monster; that's capitalism (we're still supposed to buy popcorn for five euros, of course). Gareth Edwards, who also knows his way around other blockbuster franchises, has been engaged. The problem, however, remains the overloaded script. This leads to far too long passages of dialogue between the overqualified stars, who are forced to sit around and explain the world to each other. A subplot in which a family is confronted with dinosaurs is also unnecessary. Johansson plays the mercenary Zora Bennett. Unfortunately, dinosaurs are no longer the threat they were in the last film. Sometimes one of them is lifted out of the East River in New York City in broad daylight. But a villain hires Zora to recover real beasts with profitable DNA. So off they go to the equator - which offers some breathtaking images. There are also some nice gags and a hint of how great a pointless summer blockbuster like Jurassic World or Park used to be. Back when there was no need for critical commentary on world events.
