Jazz (Jeanne Goursoud) will Tänzerin werden. - Welcome back to the world of 4 Blocks, again by the author trio Hackfort/Kropf/Konrad , who loosely follow on from their Clan Saga. However, a different story is told and it is not set in Neukölln, but in Wedding. Fortunately, it's not again men with a slight temper who appear, but a quartet of girlfriends. These four friends are no longer teenagers, but they are not yet adults either. Hajra (Soma Pysall) is on probation and looking for a training place. Fanta (Jobel Mokonzi) is about to graduate from high school and has to help her single mother at home. Rasaq (Roxana Samadi) works as a doctor's assistant and will soon meet her husband. Jazz (Jeanne Goursoud) wants to become a dancer. In reality, however, they are all just looking for a bit of "patronage" = hanging out outside. The fact that one is denied everything without money also leads Hajra to steal a bag of cocaine - and of course the original owners are not long in coming... We know some of the minor characters from 4 Blocks, such as the son of a real estate dealer with a penchant for coke and nightlife. Para (Turkish for money) is not so much a crime series as a coming-of-age drama with partying, drugs and oversleeping. Very important: never set the alarm clock before important job interviews! In the first episodes, the plot takes a back seat in favour of a few snippets from the milieu and basically only kicks in when the girls sell the stolen cocaine. I admit it; I was actually pleased when the plot engine kicked in with familiar crime thriller building blocks. P.S. My friend wondered why the girls speak Turkish slang when none of them are Turkish?
