The Principal könnte ein Problemfilm sein, der sich um innerstädtische Probleme an einer Highschool kümmert. Oder: Ein Action Film, in dem der Schulleiter an seiner Highschool mit Baseball Keule aufräumt. Er heisst Rick Latimer (James Belushi) und wird von Messer schwingenden Gang Mitgliedern durch seine Schule gejagt. Latimer ist kein uninteressanter Charakter; ein Hitzkopf, der deshalb an die schlimmste Schule weit und breit versetzt wurde. Immerhin gibt es hübsche junge Kolleginnen (Rae Down Chong), die ihm verstohlene Blicke zuwerfen. Im Grunde ist The Principal eine Art Conan gegen die Barbaren geworden, nur eben an der Schule. - *The Principal* could be a problem film tackling inner-city issues at a secondary school. Or: an action film in which the headteacher cleans up his school with a baseball bat. His name is Rick Latimer (James Belushi) and he is chased through his school by knife-wielding gang members. Latimer is not an uninteresting character; a hothead, who was therefore transferred to the worst school far and wide. At least there are some pretty young female colleagues (Rae Down Chong) who cast furtive glances his way. Basically, *The Principal* has turned into a sort of *Conan the Barbarian*, only set in a school.
