- It's so hard to be a child—and even harder when a parent dies. So widower Taylor (Tony Hale) prepares the family home for sale. His daughter Amber (Bianca Belle) copes with her grief by drawing, especially increasingly terrifying monsters. Her older brother Jack worries about her, trying to put her life back together while ignoring his own grief. One day, Jack finds a mysterious pond and hopes to scatter his mother's ashes in it so that everything will be all right again. Instead, Amber's sketchbook falls in. And so Amber's monsters emerge from the pond – and what fantastic, detailed monsters they are! And how much of Amber is in these creatures? Sketch is not only a great monster movie, but also an almost therapeutic film about grief. Sketch is an ode to the fact that it's never too late to let the light shine in you again!
