Beasts of the southern wild (2012) (OmeU) DVD6954

Obligatory Malick and Coppola comparisons. It's dark subject matter, but there is inherent beauty in all things, especially mother nature. That's where the comparisons begin and end. Lush cinematography and a few color-correction choices are probably what merit them, but I don't agree with those claiming "style over substance". If anything, I felt subtlety was probably a sticky note in Fukunaga's head during filming.
