La Belle Captive glänzt ganz in Neon und ist einer der ästhetischen Gipfel der 80er! Auf dem Weg zu einer geheimnisvollen Villa findet Walter eine verwundete Frau in Handschellen auf der Strasse. Er verbringt mit ihr die Nacht, doch am nächsten Morgen scheint die Villa verlassen... Als Vorbild dieser halsbrecherischen Handlung dient ein Gemälde des Surrealisten Magritte und auch sonst ist das permanente Zitieren von Kunst symptomatisch für den Film.
