In seinem neuen Film sucht Wes Anderson nach dem Sinn im Biblischen und Bürokratischen - was sich überraschend leicht anfühlt. Angereichert von physischen Gags und Kalauern und dennoch gehts hier um Themen wie die Manipulation der Familie durch die Patriarchen. Der Patriach wird verkörpert von Benicio del Toro und heisst Zsa-zsa Korda. Er hat gerade zu Beginn des Films seinen sechsten Flugzeugabsturz überlebt. Möglicherweise versucht da wer, ihn zu töten? Korda muss sein Imperium beschützen und seinen Thron für die Tochter Liesl (Mia Threapleton) vorbereiten und auf einer Weltreise sichert er sich die Finanzierung dessen. Übrigens treffen wir auf der Weltreise Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson oder Bill Murray als Gott. Sie alle spielen Comic Charaktere.
