The Way Of The Dragon ist wunderbar albern und natürlich schön dumm! Zum Glück ist The Way Of The Dragon kein ernster Film. - FREE ON YOUTUBE A year later he was dead. Not even 40 years old. On the day of his death the fans gathered in front of the cinemas. Arthouse cinemas with numbers that otherwise only a Cinemaxx can create! Bruce Lee started in the USA as a TV actor. Here and there he had supporting roles. Then Lee went to Hong Kong. He appeared in the first wave of martial arts movies (at that time they were called Kung Fu movies) and found himself unexpectedly as an international superstar. When he died at the age of 32 he had already directed his own movies. He was a legend. With a mighty roar (I never heard a real Chinese scream like that, which is why Lee is a real surrealist in a way), he throws himself into the fight. He eliminates the bad guys with the swing of his fists, disarms gangsters... The good thing is that you understand the plot in three minutes. The Way Of The Dragon is wonderfully silly and of course beautifully stupid! On the schoolyard every boy liked these movies (and none of the girls). Fortunately, The Way Of The Dragon is not a serious movie. The movie knows this and doesn't take itself seriously. Someone stands armed in front of Lee? Doesn't matter! He takes the gun and shoots his fists into the villain. The rules are simple: Lee is the master of all classes. The different types of Kung Fu all look the same, even though there are sometimes even discussions about the advantages of this or that discipline. It doesn't matter. The dialogues don't matter either. No matter if in Cantonese or in English. Lee says things like "When he comes back, he'll be sorry". That works universally. The action scenes are very funny. Sometimes the thugs try to copy Master Lee. They then kill themselves and stumble. They defeat themselves. No doubt about it: Lee is invincible. But everyone has to play by his rules. Like this: A series of thugs line up to fight against him one after the other. Bravely they wait in the queue. Nobody would come up with the idea to shoot Lee. What for, then the film would be over. Bruce Lee movies have class. They follow a code.
