Man darf es sich noch einmal vor Augen führen: Vor gar nicht mal soo langer Zeit, im Jahr 1968, existierte so etwas wie der "Widernatürliche Unzucht nach Paragraf 175" und darauf stand eine Gefängnis-Strafe. Hans (Franz Rogowski) ist einer, der die Gefängnis-Maschinerie schon kennt. Er trifft einen alten Mit-Häftling namens Viktor (Georg Friedrich), schaut sich unauffällig um, erblickt den neuen Häftling Leo (Anton von Lucke). Leo sitzt aus demselben Grund wie Hans und Viktor. Paragraph 175. Beim Hofgang schubst man Leo herum und Franz muss einschreiten. Sofort landet er in Isolations-Haft - und Viktor schiebt ihm noch schnell eine Zigarette zu. Hans zündet die Zigarette an und erinnert sich. An das Jahr 1945. Damals erging es ihm genauso wie heute 1968. Er erfuhr Ablehnung und Einsamkeit als er ins Gefängnis kam. Auch Viktor lehnte den Neuen damals vehement ab - bevor sich eine fragile Bindung zwischen ihnen entwickeln konnte. Hans trägt eine Nummer auf dem Unterarm. Viktor bietet ihm an, sie durch ein Tattoo zu verdecken. Und um sich auch das noch einmal vor Augen zu führen: Hans muss nur noch vier Monate absitzen, da er zuvor eine Haftstrafe wegen Homosexualität im Konzentrationslager verbüsste. Regisseur Sebastian Meise erzählt seine Geschichte um Liebe und Freundschaft zwischen Männern in Zeit Sprüngen. Es geht um Menschlichkeit in einer unmenschlichen Umgebung. Im Angesicht staatlicher Gewalt aber erleben Hans doch Momente des Glücks und auch der Nähe. Und noch einmal: Homosexualität beförderte die "Täter" nach 1945 direkt vom Konzentrationslager ins Gefängnis. He immediately ends up in solitary confinement - and Viktor quickly slips him a cigarette. Hans lights the cigarette and remembers the year 1945. He had the same experience in 1945 as he has today in 1968. He experienced rejection and loneliness when he was sent to prison. Viktor also vehemently rejected the new guy back then - before a fragile bond could develop between them. Hans wears a number on his forearm. Viktor offers to cover it up with a tattoo. And to remind himself of that as well: Hans only has to serve four months because he previously served a prison sentence for homosexuality in a concentration camp. Director Sebastian Meise tells his story about love and friendship between men in time jumps. It is about humanity in an inhuman environment. In the face of state violence, however, Hans experiences moments of happiness and closeness. And once again: homosexuality transported the "perpetrators" directly from concentration camp to prison after 1945. And all that was not so long ago.
