Dietrich Brüggemanns Film handelt von der Zweier-Beziehung und trifft sie an ihrer schwächsten Stelle. Im Grunde handeln ja alle seine Filme vom menschlichen Miteinander. Brüggemann macht Beziehungsfilme. Die beginnen dort, wo im Liebesfilm der Abspann kommt und sind weniger durch Drama als innere Leere gezeichnet. Was also tun, wenn die angekündigten Gäste des Abends fern bleiben? Für sich allein kochen? Oder einfach einen Film gucken? Florian (Joseph Konrad Bundschuh) und Marie (Nadine Dubois) entscheiden sich fürs Fernsehen. Mit Liefer-Service. Ein Lebensstil, der für Verdruss sorgt. Das Essen kommt einfach nicht. Der Film ist schlecht, das Internet wackelt. Vielleicht einfach eine DVD rein? Doch die ist bei der Nachbarin (der tollen Anna Brüggemann). Und der Sex? Funktioniert auch nicht... All das wurde hier ohne blöde Förderung und lästiges Budget auf die Leinwand gebracht. Ein Film unter Freunden, der Kultur-Mafia zu trotzen. Ich mag das, denn Dietrich Brüggemanns Home Entertainment ist Widerstand! - Dietrich Brüggemann’s film is about relationships between two people and strikes at their most vulnerable point. Essentially, all his films are about human interaction. Brüggemann makes relationship films. They begin where the credits roll in a romantic film and are characterised less by drama than by an inner emptiness. So what to do when the guests expected for the evening fail to turn up? Cook for yourself? Or just watch a film? Florian (Joseph Konrad Bundschuh) and Marie (Nadine Dubois) opt for the telly. With a delivery service. A lifestyle that causes frustration. The food just isn’t arriving. The film is rubbish, the internet’s playing up. Maybe just pop a DVD in? But it’s at the neighbour’s (the brilliant Anna Brüggemann). And the sex? That doesn’t work either... All of this was brought to the big screen without any silly funding or pesky budget constraints. A film made by friends, defying the culture mafia. I like that, because Dietrich Brüggemann’s *Home Entertainment* is resistance!
