Passion and conviction for a
Passion and conviction for a project go a long way in creating something of quality. Hellboy fits into a niche that seems like a match made in heaven for Del Toro. A universe full of lore, undead Nazi and creatures from below. Tentacled beasts are one of many stepping stones for him to display his fascination with practical effects. There are faint traces of Lovecraft in anything Del Toro has touched; all the better.
