Pillion, so heisst der Beifahrersitz beim Motorrad. Das passt, denn einer der beiden Protagonisten aus Harry Lightons neuem Film ist Biker. Pillion bezeichnet aber auch ein Leben auf dem Beifahrersitz, ohne allzu viel Initiative. Du klammerst dich am Rücken des Fahrers fest, ohne Gegenwind. Das ist bequem, doch ohne Aussicht, eigene Wünsche und Träume zu erfüllen, denn das schafft man nur auf dem Fahrersitz. Pillion ist eine Ode an die Kraft der Selbstfindung, mit der Einsicht, dass eine der grössten Tragödien im Leben die Tatsache darstellt, dass wir nicht immer mit denen verbunden bleiben können, denen wir die wertvollsten Lektionen verdanken. Colin (Harry Melling) und Ray (Alexander Skarsgård) sind zwei grundverschiedene Typen. Ray fährt Motorrad und Colin sitz auf dem Rücksitz seiner Eltern. Pillion is an ode to the power of self-discovery, based on the realisation that one of life’s greatest tragedies is the fact that we cannot always remain connected to those from whom we have learnt our most valuable lessons. Colin (Harry Melling) and Ray (Alexander Skarsgård) are two very different characters. Ray rides a motorbike and Colin sits on the back of his parents’ car. Then he becomes Ray’s submissive, plunging into a world of pleasure he’d never been allowed to experience before...
